Juche Korea: 75 Years for Independence, Justice and Defense of Peace

I am privileged to participate in the International E-seminar "Juche Korea: 75 Years for Independence, Justice and Defense of Peace" to mark the International Celebration Period for the 70th anniversary of Victory of the Korean people in the Great Fatherland Liberation War and the 75th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as a precious holiday common to mankind and as decided in the June 8th OCIFPGPP Enlarged Meeting participated by the world progressive and peace-loving figures.

My respectful thanks goes to the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mount Paektu (OCIFPGPP) for their tireless efforts to organize the event in a grand manner and also appreaciations and greetings to members, public figures and participants of the E-seminar which has become a significant juncture to greatly praise the accomplishment of the great persons of Mt. Paektu who completed immortal contribution to the Korean revolution and to the global cause of independence.

This is the right time to render and reiterate our full support for and solidarity with the Korean people's just struggle to achieve independent and peaceful reunification of Korea and to build their beloved Socialist Fatherland prosperous, strong and victorious under the far-sighted brilliant Songun leadership of His Excellency Marshal KIM JONG UN, President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK.

Let us congratulate the Supreme leader of the Korean people and through His Excellency Marshal KIM JONG UN to the entire Heroic Korean people who made Korea a heaven on the Earth during these 75 years of their arduous struggle.

President Kim Il Sung(1912-1994), founder of Socialist Korea, was the
First Statesman in mankind's history to view politics as an incarnation of love for and trust in people and transform it into reality. Great leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG liberated Korea after waging 20-year-long anti-Japanese armed struggle and established the people’s country. He conquered the United States that boasted itself to be the world’s “strongest” in the Korean War (1950-1953), for the first time in history and protected national sovereignty and dignity with credit. Simultaneously he led to victory the post-war rehabilitation, socialist revolution and the several stages of socialist construction. Thus, he set a world’s example in the struggle for accomplishing the cause of independence of the masses at home and abroad.

He founded the Juche idea and illuminated the road of struggle to shape the destiny of the popular masses, thereby ushering in a new era of human love in the world history of politics. The Juche idea is based on the philosophical principle that man is the master of everything and decides everything. In other words, it holds people as the most precious and powerful being in the world. They are the masters and motive force in the revolution and construction. Great Leader kept this idea as the philosophy of his politics and consistently reflected it in practice.

President KIM IL SUNG always regarded people as God. He always believed politics of Love and Trust. He said-"The People are my God!" So, the people loved him more than Father and wished to keep him alive in their hearts. Overwhelming by the inner desire of the people Leader KIM JONG IL made a firm determination and renovates the Kumsusan Assembly Hall into the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, the Supreme temple of Juche, where the President is kept in his lifetime appearance. The entire Korean people and hundreds of thousands peace loving progressive people from all over the world are visiting the Supreme temple of Juche and offering their tributes with high respect to President KIM IL SUNG.

Not only for his people he loved and trusted but also great leader President KIM IL SUNG loved and supported the world people who struggled for peace, independence and prosperity and fought against dominators. He helped and supported materially and morally. He travelled 520,00-odd km to visit foreign countries on 54 occasions and visited 87 countries in total in his lifetime. He met over 70,000 foreign figures, including 120 heads of state, 206 party leaders and 76 heads of government, making energetic efforts for global independence and extended active support to the anti-imperialist, anti-fascist struggle of the people in the foreign countries. In return, the world people also offered their high respect to President KIM IL SUNG. 480 streets, organizations and units, schools and universities in over 100 countries were named after him; 30 countries offered him with their countries' Honorary citizen; 180-odd highest orders and medals from over 70 countries and international organizations were conferred on him; State, party and government leaders and other personages of all strata of 172 countries presented 166,065 gifts to him and still the gifts, honorary titles and decorations continue to be bestowed on him ever after his death.

President KIM IL SUNG's life for the country, people and to the word people will remain immortal in the minds of entire mankind of the planet and attract the admiration and respect of the progressive people. Even the former President of USA Mr. Jimmy Carter deeply influenced by the President. After visiting DPRK and meeting with President KIM IL SUNG, he later said in Seoul -" President KIM IL SUNG is wise, courageous and keeps deep knowledge on all fields. He is rich in extraordinary personality and can be compared jointly with Jorge Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincon." This is how the world leaders evaluate President KIM IL SUNG.

‘”People of the Whole World Aspiring after Independence, Unit!”, in this slogan, the immortal exploit made by respected President KIM IL SUNG on the way to realize the independent cause of the popular masses was permeated.

Especially, the great leader gave active support to the anti-imperialist, anti-fascist struggle of the people in foreign countries. He gave energetic and disinterested support and aid to the peoples of Angola, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Namibia in their struggle against colonialism and racism, the Latin American peoples’ struggle against the US imperialists and pro-US dictatorship, Arabians’ struggle against the US imperialists and Israeli Zionists, as well as the Cuban, Vietnamese, Laotian and Cambodian peoples’ struggle against the aggression of the US imperialists, thus greatly inspiring them to bring about historic victories.

He rendered numerous assistance to China, Vietnam, Cuba and other countries in their struggle of national liberation and anti-imperialism. Many African countries could achieve their national liberation and build a new society thanks to KIM IL SUNG ’s unselfish assistance. Sam Nujoma, first president of Namibia, credited the Korean President KIM IL SUNG with the independence of his country.

The non-aligned movement, a powerful anti-imperialist and independent force in the 20th century, is associated with deep concern and energetic efforts of President KIM IL SUNG. It had maintained a neutral and peaceful coexistence in its early days.

Thanks to his arduous efforts, the attempts of the imperialists to split and break down the movement were checked and frustrated and non-aligned countries achieved the unity and cohesion of their ranks and played a huge role in the struggle to realize global independence.

By his deep concern and painstaking efforts, the declaration, titled “Let us Defend and Advance the Cause of Socialism” was adopted in Pyongyang in April 1992, and signed by the leaders and representatives of tens of progressive parties from around the world. That is why, the President has been kept deep in minds of the world progressive people as the "Outstanding leader of the world revolution" and "the loadstar of the human emancipation”.

After the passing away of President KIM IL SUNG the banner of independence, victory, Justice and defence of Peace is successfully crried out by the great leader eternal General Secreary of the WPK Comrade KIM JONG IL in his 47 years leadership which witnessed a great power of strength and encouragement to the Korean people who are achieving eye-opening successes in the socialist construction with a firm stand of independence and also to the progressive peoples of the world who are struggling for the realization of global independence.

The Great Leader Comrade KIM JONG IL symbolized the dignity that is Democratic People's Republic of Korea. His remarkable achievements as guardian of Juche idea, Socialism and Justice, he conducted energetic activities for the victory of socialist cause, global peace and stability and friendship and solidarity among peoples under the uplifted banner of independence against imperialism thus raising the international position and prestige of the DPRK and making immortal contribution to the human cause of independence and defending peace in the complicated situation of the Korean peninsula will remain in golden letters in the history of mankind.

"Socialism is a Science!""Abusing Socialism is intolerable!" - said dear leader Comrade KIM JONG IL and protected, the dear socialism of the Korean people in high dignity through his brilliant and practical line of Songun politics in his life time.

Leader KIM JONG IL used to say - "People are teachers and creators of all things. If there is an almighty being in the world, it is none other than the people. The ability of an individual is limit, whereas the might of the people is limitless. The party and the leader cannot exist without people. The leader learns the wisdom, leadership, ability and virtue from the people. Therefore, the leader and the party should serve the people."

With notable foresight and extraordinary political ability with his Songun leadership, dear leader Comrade KIM JONG IL recognized that only defense centered politics and army first leadership would allow the country to defend itself and its people's dignity against the violent challenges of the imperialists, maintaining permanent peace in the Korean Peninsula and to secure its prosperous future.

Leader KIM JONG IL's practical steps to strengthen the Juche and Songun policy along with the lunching of the August 31st 1998 Artificial Satellite Kwang Gong Song-1 ; October 09, 2006 first Nuclear Test of the DPRK; lunching of April 05, 2009 Kwanggong Song 2nd; May 25, 2009 second nuclear test are some of the great achievements of his brilliant Songun leadership, the world history has mentioned them in golden letters. These have palyed a vital role in defending permanent peace in the Korean peninsla and in Asia as awhole.

Now, with the assumption of the leadership of Korean revolution by His Excellency Marshal KIM JONG UN the development of nuclear devices in the DPRK the nation's prestige, socialism and dignity of the Korean people has boosted and strenhgthened and they are enhancing day by day to defend their beloved Korean style socialism , sovereignty of their nation and peace in the Korean peninsula.

Thanks to the eternal President great leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG and eternal dear great leader Comrade KIM JONG IL, today, the idea of self reliance and army -first politics are developed in all fields of the Korean people's live. Therefore, Korea has become a strong and powerful socialist country, independent in ideology, self-reliance in economy and capable in defending the sovereignty of the country and peace in the Korean Peninsula.

Korean people are enjoying happy life receiving basic needs of their life free and compulsory education, free medical care, and above all love and affection from the great leaders These all became possible only through the implication of the policy of self-reliance and Songun to defend peace in the Korean peninsulsa and trusting and loving the people with fatherly care by President KIM IL SUNG, dear leader Comrade KIM JONG IL and His Excellency Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN, President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and supreme Commander of the armed Forces of the DPRK.

Availing of this opportunity I wish to extend my best wishes to His Excellency Marshal , President of the State Affairs of the DPRK for good health and happiness to lead the Worker's Party of Korea, Armed forces of the DPRK and the Korean people's just struggle to achieve their ultimate goal.

Finally, I wish every success of this e-seminar and extend my appreciation and sincere thanks to all the participants and wish them good health and happiness for dedicating themselves for their noble cause!
