It is an honor to stand before you on this momentous occasion, as we celebrate the achievements and progress of a nation that has overcome numerous challenges and emerged as a symbol of resilience and determination. The Swiss-Korea Committee takes great pride in glorifying the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, a nation that has consistently strived for the well-being and prosperity of its people. Over the past 75 years, the DPRK has made remarkable strides in various fields, including education, healthcare, and technology, all while upholding the principles of socialism and self-reliance.

Throughout its history, the DPRK has faced numerous external pressures and threats, yet it has remained steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and independence. The Korean people, under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea, have shown unwavering unity and resilience, proving that they are the masters of their own destiny. One of the key pillars that has contributed to the strength and stability of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is the Songun policy. Songun, or "military-first," emphasizes the importance of a strong and capable defense force to protect the nation's interests. This policy has not only ensured the security of the Korean people but has also played a crucial role in the nation's development and progress.

As we celebrate this momentous occasion, let us take a moment to reflect on the achievements of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. From its successful nuclear program to its advancements in science and technology, the DPRK has proven time and again that it is a force to be reckoned with. Let us recognize the importance of a strong defense force in safeguarding our nation's interests and ensuring the well-being of our people. Let us stand united in our commitment to self-reliance and socialism, just as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has done for the past 75 years. In conclusion, let us celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea with great pride and admiration. Let us honor the achievements and progress of a nation that has overcome countless challenges.
