Action Programme of Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt. Paektu

There flows solemnly the year 2022, which will be recorded as a year of a historic turning point in highly praising and glorifying the venerable revolutionary activities and brilliant achievements of the peerlessly great persons of Korea, who are great pioneers and guides of an independent era and the eternal Sun of gigantic struggle to achieve the complete emancipation and welfare of humanity.

Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt. Paektu (OCIFPGPP), with a unanimous desire to celebrate this meaningful year, in which we mark the 110th birthday of President Kim Il Sung, the 80th birthday of Leader Kim Jong Il and the 10th anniversary of having His Excellency Kim Jong Un into the highest post of the Party and State of Korea, as the most auspicious event of the progressive mankind, had set the International Celebration Period from February to April this year while organizing and conducting various celebration activities splendidly.

International E-seminar, Online Photo Exhibition and E-Celebration Forum, which were held in a distinctive manner with active supports from and participation by friendship & solidarity organizations with the Korean people, international democratic organization and progressive figures in many countries across the world, allowed us to feel once again the admiration of progressive mankind in praise and deference of the peerlessly great persons of Korea. At the same time, we could realize once again a deep sense of mission to continue our sacred activities uninterruptedly.

OCIFPGPP issues its action programme in answer to the need of further elevating the atmosphere of praising the great persons of Mt. Paektu, which was pervaded during the International Celebration Period of this year.

1. OCIFPGPP shall fully display the boundless admiration of the progressive mankind for the peerlessly great persons of Korea, who made undying contribution to the accomplishment of the cause of the global independence, by encouraging and coordinating various forms of politico-cultural events to be organized successively in every country and region around the world, giving wide publicity to the ennobling revolutionary activities and brilliant achievements of the peerlessly great persons of Korea.

It is the unanimous desire of the progressive mankind, aspiring after justice, peace and ideal human society, to revere and follow the peerlessly great persons of Korea to eternity.

OCIFPGPP shall make it regular to present beautiful floral baskets and congratulatory messages to His Excellency Kim Jong Un on major national holidays of the Korean people, reflecting the boundless admiration towards President Kim Il Sung and Leader Kim Jong Il and the high respect for His Excellency Kim Jong Un, who is firmly carrying forward the cause of the preceding leaders.

At the same time, it shall encourage national and regional friendship and solidarity organizations with the Korean people headed by the OCIFPGPP members to form preparatory committees for celebration activities on various occasions to hold colorful events including gatherings, seminars, film shows and workshops while broadly introducing the on-goings through its website and the social media platforms.

2. OCIFPGPP shall positively encourage and promote the solidarity activities to be conducted in various types in all parts of the world, in support of the DPRK’s consistent line of national reunification and the just cause of the Korean people in their struggle to build a thriving nation.

The Three Principles for National Reunification of Korea – Independence, Peaceful Reunification and Great National Unity – which were set forth and applied by the peerlessly great persons of Korea are the most aboveboard and realistic reunification program common to the Korean nation and the issue of Korea's reunification is the most crucial one which has direct bearings on the peace and security in northeast Asia and the rest of the world.

OCIFPGPP shall render our positive cooperation to the regional and national activities to introduce the undying feats of the peerlessly great persons for accomplishment of the cause of the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea in this significant year that marks the 50th anniversary of the declaration of Three Principles of National Reunification by President Kim Il Sung and the 15th anniversary of announcement of October 4th declaration. In the meantime, it shall lead the international solidarity activities including issuing official statements and press releases in demand of the peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in the region to be continued without halt until 27th July, 2023, that marks the 70th anniversary of the V-day of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War.

In addition to this, OCIFPGPP shall launch solidarity activities on a large scale in support of the heroic Korean people in their vigorous struggle to bring about the comprehensive development of socialism in order to build Korea into the ideal society of humanity under the wise leadership of His Excellency Kim Jong Un despite all the challenges and hardships of history.

3. OCIFPGPP shall conduct more actively the activities for praising the peerlessly great persons of Korea and for rendering support and encouragement to the cause of the Korean people by utilizing the Internet while assiduously carrying out the work to constantly enhance the dynamism of the OCIFPGPP.

OCIFPGPP, with an ennobling sense of mission, shall continue to take the global and regional initiatives to praise the peerlessly great persons of Korea and lead them to success while making the OCIFPGPP website a far-reaching leverage of introducing the activities conducted by the progressives from various walks of life in many different countries across the world in support of the Korean people and that of sharing experiences among them.

It shall also successfully coordinate all this year's activities of its members, friendship and solidarity organizations with the Korean people, international democratic organizations and progressive figures in different countries by retaining closer contacts with them, and work with a well thought-out plan for the 6th International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu to be held both in Pyongyang and on Mt Paektu, provided that the global health crisis is over.

Building on the successes and experience gained during the International Celebration Period, OCIFPGPP shall exert all its effort to ensuring that the positive actions of the progressive mankind be performed without letup in the whole course of the year 2022 so as to perpetuate and glorify the immortal revolutionary activities and exploits of the great persons of Korea and support the Korean people's just cause.
