Today we had an inaugural ceremony for the international E-seminar and online photo exhibition in celebration of the 80th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the Korean people, with the unanimous aspiration and desire of the world's progressive peoples to celebrate in a grand style the Day of the Shining Star, the auspicious holiday common to humankind in meaningful 2022.

We would like to extend the warmest congratulations to Your Excellency Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 80th birth anniversary of Leader Kim Jong Il, reflecting the ardent feelings of eternal reverence of humankind for the peerlessly great persons.

Leader Kim Jong Il, the eternal incarnation of Juche Korea and the eternal sun of the progressive humankind, enjoyed the immeasurable commendation from everyone as the greatest of the great men for guiding the Korean revolution and the cause of the global independence along the road of victory by dint of the outstanding ideology and theories, prominent leadership and ennobling personal magnetism. This makes the progressive peoples yearn for and admire him more and more with the passage of time.

Such a peerlessly great man can not be found in the annals of history across all the ages and countries of the world as Leader Kim Jong Il, who was born as the son of Mt. Paektu and creation of the anti-Japanese revolution and made endless devotion to the motherland and its people while winning the absolute support of the mass of working people in his entire life.

It is particularly Leader Kim Jong Il's greatest achievement that he firmly safeguarded the socialist cause of Korea holding even higher the banner of anti-imperialism and independence during the period of the most trying ordeals in the late last century and opened up a way out for building a thriving nation, thus glorifying the 21st century as the one of independence.

We remain confident that the International E-seminar and Online Photo Exhibition will serve as a very significant occasion to laud and glorify the undying achievements that Leader Kim Jong Il rendered to the times and history.

Today Leader Kim Jong Il lives forever in the minds of the world's progressive peoples as the Shining Star of Paektu and the sun of humankind, as we have Your Excellency Kim Jong Un who is identical to him in ideology, cause and personality, and develop and enrich them furthermore.

Thanks to Your Excellency, the cause of immortalizing the leader was materialized at the highest level and the revolutionary ideas of the preceding leaders are shining as the immortal guiding ideology of the independent era. Meanwhile, the DPRK ushered in the golden age of prosperity, never known in its history, in the last decade which is no more than a moment of the human history, and rose up aloft in the center of the world politics.

Nothing but victory and glory will stand in the way forward of Korea which is dynamically advancing towards the comprehensive development of socialism and the ideal society of humankind, where the dreams of people will come true, by overcoming all kinds of difficulties and trials under the wise leadership of Your Excellency.

We would like to assure you that we will fulfill our responsibilities and duties by adding luster to the ideology and achievements of the peerlessly great men this meaningful year, true to the decisions made in the January 7th Consultative Meeting of Leading Members of the Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of Great Persons of Mt. Paektu.
