February 16, Juche 111 (2022) is the glorious and auspicious day when the 80th birthday anniversary of the great Leader Comrade KIM JONG IL is celebrated.
This is a great festival for the Korean people and all its friends around the world, the defenders of socialist Korea, Juche idea followers and the progressive and peace-loving mankind.
What are the achievements of Chairman KIM JONG IL for Korea and for the whole world?
Let's begin with his achievements for Korea. He developed and enriched the great Juche idea founded by President KIM IL SUNG and proclaimed it, together with the President's great life, as Kimilsungism.
Based on it, he fought untiringly for Korea's independent and peaceful reunification. He proclaimed President KIM IL SUNG's historic initiatives for national reunification - the Three Principles of National Reunification, the Programme for founding the Democratic Confederal Republic of Koryo (DCRK) and The Ten-Point Programme of the Great Unity of the Whole Nation for the Reunification of the Country - as the Three Charters of National Reunification.
In his classical work Let Us Reunify the Country Independently and Peacefully through the Great Unity of the Entire Nation (April 18, Juche 87 (1998)), Chairman KIM JONG IL wrote:
"The Juche idea scientifically elucidated for the first time the law of the development of the nation and the basis of national unity…”
Nobody can live separately from his country and nation…”
The dialogue must be held on the principle of giving precedence to the common interests of the nation, eliminating distrust and confrontation between the north and south and subordinating everything to reunifying the country."
"Our nation is one, and so is our country. Our nation will achieve great unity under the banner of national reunification without fail."
Based on these noble ideas, Chairman KIM JONG IL organized the historic inter-Korean summit meetings and talks and signed the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration (2000) and the October 4 Declaration (2007) which opened a bright way for the nation's reunification under the patriotic banner By Our Nation Itself.
On the same time, Generalissimo KIM JONG IL guided the policy of giving priority to military affairs and developed the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to a space power and a nuclear-weapon state.
With the strong nuclear deterrent, he smashed the US imperialists' aggressive war moves and saveguarded peace on the Korean peninsula.
Chairman KIM JONG IL fought also his whole life for the people's happiness. With his life-long creed The People are God he continued President KIM IL SUNG's policy of making socialist Korea the real people's paradise where education, health care and housing are free and all taxes abolished.
The Korean people is all the time rallied single-mindedly and closely around the leader.
What are Chairman KIM JONG IL's achievements for the world?
He fought untiringly for anti-imperialist solidarity, global independence and world peace.
He supported always actively the peoples' struggles against imperialism and colonialism and for national independence.
He strengthened the DPRK's position as a non-aligned state and developed the policy of peace and international friendship.
Thanks to his defense of world peace, the DPRK's international prestige improved and became always higher. In the 2000's occured the great "wave of recognition of the DPRK". Many countries, even some of those hostile towards the DPRK for a long time, established diplomatic ties with the DPRK.
Chairman KIM JONG IL's external activities made the Juche idea known on all continents. The number of Juche idea followers worldwide increased rapidly. Under the banner of the great Juche idea, the progressive peoples are fighting for a free and independent world.
Since Chairman KIM JONG IL's unexpected and sudden demise, the respected Supreme Leader Comrade KIM JONG UN continues loyally the Chairman's policy in all fields. He proclaimed Chairman KIM JONG IL's revolutionary ideas and great life - together with these of President KIM IL SUNG - as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and declared it as the only guiding ideology of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
Chairman KIM JONG IL is really the eternal incarnation of Juche Korea!
He is immortal. The Korean people and the progressive mankind are holding him in highest esteem.
