WE begin by wishing the Korean People well on the 80th birthday anniversary of Comrade Kim Jong Il the eternal leader of the Korean people.
The International League of Peoples’ Struggle, ILPS for short, expresses its utmost solidarity with the Korean people in their continuing, courageous and inspiring struggles against imperialism, and particularly U.S. imperialism, which is constantly attacking the independence, democracy, peaceful existence and socialist objective of the Korean people.
From its founding in 2001, the ILPS has maintained warm relations and solidarity with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, working to expose the black propaganda and lies targeting the Korean people, and opposing the vicious sanctions and military provocations against the DPRK.
We in the ILPS stand with you and the other progressive peace- loving peoples of the world for the immediate denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula and for the peaceful reunification of Korea.
We support the absolute right of the DPRK to self defence against aggression, and to develop their nuclear capacity to counter the bullying and threats of U.S. imperialism.
The ILPS continues to call on its global regional organisations, its country and territorial chapters, its member organisations in 45 countries and territories and its other supporting networks to continue, and step up, its campaigning against the persistent hostile and aggressive policy of U.S. imperialism and its reactionary supporters, towards the DPRK.
We, the ILPS, express our admiration and respect for the great struggles of the Korean people against imperialism and all reaction, struggles which are also of enormous importance to the people of the world, in their fight for democracy, peace, and liberation.
We salute the initiative of the Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt. Paektu to organize an International E-seminar and Photo Exhibit in February, 2022, and wish it much success.
Long live the memory of Kim Jong Il! Long live the legacy of revolutionary struggles and victories! Long live international solidarity with the Korean people!
