All Fathers Play an Important Role in the Life of Their Children

THE Day of the Shining Star, it is a significant day not only for the people of Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), my second fatherland, but also for peace loving people all over the world.
As it is known that all fathers play an important role in the life of their children, the great leader Kim Jong Il, abuji not only helped my parents at the time of need which led to my birth, he played an important role in my life, guiding me and encouraging me to where I am today. It is an honor given to our family as it tightens the friendship between the Arab Palestinian people and the Korean people.
The story goes back to when my mother was diagnosed with secondary infertility where she could not have a baby for several years after the loss of her son. However, during her stay in Pyongyang as the wife of ambassador of the State of Palestine to the DPRK in the early 1980s, my mother was given free treatment and much care was shown and poured to us by all the famous doctors in Pyongyang. I was finally born. My family is more than grateful to the medical team in DPRK.
My respected father, pleased to hear that a foreign woman gave birth to a lovely baby girl in the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital after so many years of trying, gave me a really beautiful name – Jindallae (Azaleas in Korean). Jindallae is the name of a flower loved by the Korean people who regard it as a symbolic flower which heralds the approach of spring.
As the years goes by, my respected father blessed me with valuable gifts on each of my birthdays. Among his precious gifts there was an Okryugum-a famous Korean folk musical instrument, which lead me to learn how to play the Okryugum to sing in praise of my father 's warm love and benevolence in front of the world. I recall singing a song titled “Echo Okryugum” in the International Children's Day in 1990 at the age of six, with the children of the diplomatic corps in Pyongyang.
My father believed and taught me the Juche Idea which teaches that the master of one's destiny is oneself and the power with which to shape one's destiny is in oneself. This ideology was authored by the great President Kim Il Sung and verified its scientific accuracy and validity in his immortal work "On the Juche Idea" and administered in practice by the respected father – an ideology tantamount to a textbook for achieving independence of the popular masses.
My father who was the Palestinian ambassador in Korea used to tell me stories of many Palestinian and Arab expatriates who were in Pyong yang at the time, acquired political, military and medical sciences reflecting the extent of the great support given by the Korean leadership to the Arabs. Especially for the cause of the Palestinian people who are struggling to restore their legitimate national rights including the right to establish the independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
At age of 26, in July 2011, I finished my university and obtained my medical degree. At that time I really wanted to show the respected father my accomplishment so I visited Pyongyang. But unfortunately, I couldn’t meet my respected father. He was far away on his field guidance trip to economic sectors despite his poor health condition.
My father is the great leader who is leading Korea and taking care of not only me but also all the Korean people. My father is the very great leader Kim Jong Il. Abuji (meaning father in Korean).
Every February, my father, Moustapha Saphariny and I host celebration meetings with film show with some other friends. More and more people come to realize the greatness of our respected father Kim Jong Il. Some people say that the respected Kim Jong Il abuji passed away earlier than expected but I can never accept it. In my speech, no words can be in the past tense. The respected Kim Jong Il abuji is still working in his office in Pyongyang and will always be with us. As the idea of him is immortal, his warm humane love is undying and the existence of the country and people he led is eternal. The respected Kim Jong Il abuji is still leading Korea and the cause of global independence.
Now the outstanding leader of the Korean people, Marshal Kim Jong Un is leading the Party, state and people of Korea upholding the banner of Juche idea and the people-first principle as President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il abuji did.
The respected Marshal Kim Jong Un saw my letters every time and granted all my requests. Believing that my respected abuji will always be with me, I proposed to establish the Jindallae Children’s Foundation, which is called after my name, for the children of Korea whom my abuji loved and Marshal Kim Jong Un values dearest and my proposal is supported by Marshal Kim Jong Un.
Blessed by the respected Kim Jong Il abuji, thanks to the support and care of Marshal Kim Jong Un and amid the expectation of the friendly Korean people and the world’s progressive friends, Jindallae Children’s Foundation will fulfill its honorable duty successfully.
On this very day, I recall all the memories of my father, deep in my heart.
