A Letter from OCIFPGPP Secretary General to Jan. 7th Zoom Meeting
To: Consultative Meeting of the Leading Members of the Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt. Paektu
Dear Comrades and friends,
I, as secretary general of the Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt. Paektu (OCIFPGPP), would like to extend my warmest greetings and congratulation to all the participants in the meeting, one which was convened to discuss and decide upon the issues to grandly celebrate the year 2022, that bears significant meaning both for the Korean people and the world's progressives.
First of all, I would like express my thanks to Messrs. Peter Woods and Damian Ogbonna for jointly promoting this consultative meeting and making every sincere effort for its preparation.
At the same time, I would like take this opportunity to extend my gratitude to Mr. Teguh Santosa, secretary general of Indonesia-Korea Friendship and Cultural Exchange, for technically hosting this meeting.
Attended this consultative meeting are the leading members of the Organizing Committee, the senior officials of friendship and solidarity organizations with the Korean people around the world and dear friends of the Korea who have rendered their disinterested contribution for a long time for Korea.
All the participants of the meeting indeed have supported and encouraged the Korean people in their heroic struggle to build the ever-prospering socialist nation by braving all the challenges and difficulties of the century, as well as enshrining the boundless reverence towards the great leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG and the great leader Comrade KIM JONG IL, Comrade KIM JONG UN, president of State Affairs of the DPRK – the illustrious great men universally recognized. With this in mind, I remain undoubted that all of you will present to the full the constructive ideas to mark this year, a year in which we greet the 110th birthday of Comrade KIM IL SUNG, the 80th birthday of Comrade KIM JONG IL, and 10th anniversary of having Comrade KIM JONG UN into the highest post of the State and the Party of the DPRK, as the most auspicious holidays of humanity, thus working out the wonderful outcome together.
While emphasizing that the success of this consultative meeting will have an important bearing on the overall successes of this year's celebration events, I very much look forward to the active involvement of all the participants in the meeting.
Even though we can not meet each other to celebrate this significant year together due to the protracted pandemic situation, I would like to cordially appeal to every one to briskly organize and conduct online activities on an international scale so as to further elevate the festive atmosphere.
Last but not least, please allow me to extend you my comradely greetings and hug to all the participants who greeted the hopeful new year 2022.
