Aaccomplishing The Greatest National Task of Reuniting the Fatherland
A Statement by Nepal Association for Supporting Songun Policy
ON the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the Historic Singapore DPRK-USA Summit on June 12, 2018 between the President of the State Affairs of the DPRK Supreme Leader His Excellency Marshal KIM JONG UN and US President His Excellency Ronald Trump, and on the 21st anniversary of the June 15 Declaration, a brilliant event since the division of the Korean peninsula 76 yeas ago and since the outbreak of the Korean war 71 years ago, the Association for Supporting Songn Policy reiterates its welcome and believes that decisions taken in the Singapore Summit and on June 15, 2000, historic joint declaration are a great step towards maintaining permanent peace and security in the Korean Peninsula.
The Joint statement which agrees for "the establishment of new DPRK-US relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity" instead of the past hostile relations and "commitment to work towards complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula" are a great success, which the world people desired since long after the division of the Korean peninsula.
Nepal Association for Supporting Songun policy reiterates its firm stand that the reunification of Korea should be achieved independently and peacefully by the Korean People themselves by their great national unity and the Korean peninsula should be nuclear-free and free from foreign forces. We strongly demand the U.S. stop the enemy like behavior towards the North and positively contribute towards the peace, prosperity, peaceful reunification, and development of the Korean Peninsula.
June 15, 2000, is a significant glorious event in the modern post-liberation history of Korea which has opened a bright aspect for national reunification and we hope the gradual development of understanding and cooperation between the Korean people in North and the south and abroad will definitely accomplish their greatest national task, the task of reuniting the Fatherland.
We on these occasions urge the concerned authorities to sincerely follow the June 15, 2000 joint declaration and June 4, 2007 spirit and joint statement concluded at the Singapore summit.
We urgently feel the need to withdraw 27000 strong U.S. military troops with nuclear weapons from the south part of the Korean Peninsula, demolish the concrete wall unnaturally dividing the Korean nation, stop all kinds of joint military exercises, and replace the armistice agreement of July 27, 1953, into peace treaty letting entire Korean people in North, south and abroad fulfill their greatest national desire to achieve the reunification of Korea independently and peacefully "By their nation itself!"
Thanks to the great leaders of the Korean people for their tireless efforts and far-sighted stand based on Songun policy to maintain peace in the Korean Peninsula as well as in the world. We urge all the social, politically friendly, and concerned organizations of the world to give pressure to implement joint statements and historic declarations as soon as possible in practice and so can be realized the world peace.
