Dear Marshal Kim,
We, the participants, feel privileged to communicate with such a revered leader as Your Excellency and convey our passionate greetings through this letter, adopted unanimously in an enlarged ZOOM meeting of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (APRCPRK), held on May 31, 2021 with the purpose of further vitalizing the movement and campaign to support the reunification of Korea.

The participants in the meeting unanimously agreed that the reunification of Korea constitutes an internal issue of the Korean nation and acknowledges that the reunification of Korea should be achieved independently and peacefully with the concerted efforts of the Korean people themselves without interference from foreign powers.

It has been more than 70 years since the unfortunate and tragic division of Korea, the division of which has never been accepted by the Korean people. The people are aspiring to become one. Your Excellency following the policies of President Kim Il Sung and great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, has continued to encourage the people to end the division in an appropriate manner.

Your Excellency took certain bold and generous initiatives to arrange meetings with the parties concerned and even invited the leader of south Korea to Pyongyang. This measure was appreciated throughout the world. The peace-loving people of the world took a sigh of relief and expectations rose high. People thought that the reunification of Korea will now come true, but to the misfortune of the world's people, the aggressive policies of the US and its allies have polluted the atmosphere again with continuing military exercises, political propaganda and outrageous and unjustified economic sanctions. It seems obvious that the Koreans in the south must be freed from the yolk of foreign interests so there can be a genuine effort by all Koreans to achieve a lasting reunification as one people.

APRCPRK also expressed its whole-hearted support and solidarity with the Korean people in their righteous struggle for putting an end to the national division, bringing about the stable peace and reunification on the Korean peninsula.

We, the lovers of the Korean people have a dream, the dream of reunification of Korea. The day is not far off when the ‘north and south’ will unite and the dream of President Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il will come true. The people of DPRK have faced great ordeals but the way they have faced them may rightly be called real courage and resilience. These attributes are clearly shared between the Korean people and you as their inspirational leader. APRCPRK will do all in its power to support you and the people in your endeavours.

We wish Your Excellency all success in your admirable policies. We respectfully wish Your Excellency a long life in good health and happiness.

Korea is One and One it shall be!
